Premiere Night for KTXT-TV

Tomorrow night we are having a "Premiere Night" which basically is an introduction to the community of what we are doing here at KTXT-TV and how we are bringing new and exciting productions to the area.

Marcela Garcia and I went and checked out the facility and watched our demo reel play on the big screen at the LHUCA this morning. It looked and sounded amazing! We couldn't be more excited...

A lot of excitement here at KTXT Channel 5

We have a lot of exciting things happening in the next couple of weeks. Tonight, we will be at the food bank here in Lubbock donating our time and energy to helping a great cause. We also have our premiere night on August 31st where we will be debuting our new look to some of our local members and some folks from Texas Tech.

Speaking of some of the good folks at Texas Tech, Chancellor Kent Hance, will be debuting his new talk show this fall. Don't forget my documentary "Through Thin Air" about the Glider Pilots of WWII debuts on September 15th.

Don't forget to check out our website at www.ktxt.org also like us on facebook.com. Hope you are enjoying these last days of summer and get ready for great local programming on Channel 5 in the fall.

Hello, and welcome to my blog. Right now we have a lot going on at KTXT Channel 5. I am working on a documentary called "Through Thin Air" about the men who flew glider planes during WWII. It's been amazing listening to their stories of bravery and courage. Did you know that South Plains Army Airfield here in Lubbock was the main training facility for these cadets? Check out the Silent Wings Museum out by the airport to learn more, and watch the documentary September 15th! Here are some interesting links for you...
